What is a noun?
A word used as the name of a person, place, or thing.
What does the word thing include?
All objects that we can see, hear, taste, touch, or smell.
What does the word something include?
What we can think of, but cannot perceive by the senses.
What is an adjective?
A word used to add something to the meaning of a noun.
What is a pronoun?
A word used instead of a noun.
What is a verb?
A word used to express an action.
What is an adverb?
A word used to express an action, event, or state.
What is a preposition?
A word used with a noun or pronoun to show how the person or thing denoted by the noun or pronoun stands in relation to something else.
What is a conjunction?
A word used to join words or sentences.
What is an interjection?
A word which expresses some sudden feeling (i.e. Hurrah!).
