Q

Positively Skewed Distribution

A

The tail of the distribution follows the positive values along the X-axis of the distribution (towards the higher numbers on the X-axis). The median falls right to the mode and the mean falls even further to the right of the median.

Q

Negatively Skewed Distribution

A

The tail of distribution follows the zero point of the X-axis (toward the negative values on the axis). The order of the measures of central tendency is reversed from that in a positively skewed curve. The median falls to the left of hte mode and the mean falls even further to the left, past the median.
