Females enter puberty two years sooner

Men are more likely to commit suicide

What’s the difference between gender roles, gender typing, and gender schema?
Role- expected behaviors
Typing- taking on a traditional (almost instinctual) role
Schemas- culturally learned concept on what it means to be a boy or girl
What is a transgender?
Gender =/= identity
Can still be attracted to either sex
What are gay-straight trait differences?
- spatial abilities
- gender nonconformity
- walking style
- body size
What are genetic influences to sexual orientation?
Identical twins more likely to be both gay or not
Prenatal influences to sexual orientation
Right-handed men with several older brothers will be more likely gay due to a maternal immune-system reaction
