Q

What is the dissipation of energy

A
  • When there is a change in a system energy is transferred and some of that energy is dissipated
  • Dissipation is used to describe ways in which energy is wasted
  • Any energy not transferred to useful energy stores is wasted because it is lost to the surroundings

Q

What happens when heat, light and sound spread out

A

It’s very difficult to gather the energy back together again which makes the energy become less useful and essentially wasted

Q

How can you prevent heat from dissipating (so that less heat will need to be produced to replace the heat that’s been lost)

Q

What is energy loss

A

When energy is transformed from one form to another, or moved from one place to another, or from one system to another there is energy loss
