What are the 3 basic components of a model of Nursing?
A set of values and beliefs
A statement of what the nurse is trying to achieve
The knowledge and skills a nurse needs to practice
Discuss how the applicaton of models to practice influence the activity of the nurse and the experience for the patient
Models give direction to nurses working in a particular area as it should help them understand the logic behind their actions
It should also help in decision making and allow for more cooperation within the team of nurses as a whole.
This should in turn lead to continuity and consistency of the nursing care received by the patient

A persons circumstances determine the level the person can adapt to change, health is gained by adapting positively to the environment

Treating people as individuals in a holistic manner is extremely important for nursing
Interaction and interpersonal relationships are fundamental to nursing
Individuals aim to exist within society with the ultimate goal of achieving integrity and dignity
