Dark side of ourselves that we hide from others ; comes from both personal and collective unconscious; opposite of persona
Anima and animus
Inner male and female ; largely unconscious, corresponds with opposite of one’s external and conscious gender identification, represents feeling and thinking
Great mother and wise old man
-parental figures
-contain both danger and wisdom
Hero
Bravely ventures forth to answer the call to adventure
The self
Includes conscious and both personal and collective unconscious
Fully developed Individual who has successfully integrated all other archetypes
