Definition
Personality
A pattern of relatively permanent traits and unique characteristics that give both consistency and individuality to a persons behavior
Def
Theory

Philosophy

Speculation
Tied to empirical data and science
What’s the relationship between theory and hypothesis
Theory generates the hypothesis
Falsifiable
With data, you can either disprove or confirm it
Ex- the earth is the center of the solar system
Non falsifiable- if I see a black cat, I’ll have bad luck
Taxonomy
Classification of things according to their natural relationship
What makes a theory useful
-generates research
-is falsifiable
-organizes data
-guides action
-internally consistent
-parsimonious (simple and straightforward)
