An agreement of the year 1763 where Great Britain and France agreed that France would give up most of their land.

A formal written request to someone in authority

To refuse to buy certain goods and services

Where officers were allowed to inspect a ship’s cargo without giving a reason
Committee of Correspondence
Where members of the committee regularly wrote letters and pamphlets reporting to other colonist
Civil Disobedience
Nonviolent refusal to obey laws that seem unfair
Militia
An army of citizens who serve as soldiers during an emergency
Minutemen
Volunteers that trained regularly that kept muskets at their hands, and were ready to fight at any moment

Colonist who favored war against Britain
Loyalists
American colonist who remained loyal to Britain

The shutting of a port to keep people or supplies from moving in or out
