Ally

Marked the end of French power in North America.

Formal written request to someone in authority, signed by a group of people.

Means to refuse to buy certain goods and services.

An army of citizens who serve as soldiers during an emergency.

Colonial milita volunteers who were prepared to fight at a minute’s choice.

A colonists who favored war against British.

A colonists who remained loyal to Britian.

The shutting of a port to keep people or supplies from moving in or out.

A solider who fights for pay, often for a foreign country.

Rights that belong to all people from birth.

Rights that cannot be taken away.

Troops on horseback.
Guerilla
A fighter who uses hit-and-run attacks.

To surround and blockade an enemy town or position with troops to force it to surrender.

To approve.
