WHEN IS THE TERMINATION OF LEGAL SUBJECTIVITY?
Somatic death, when the brain permanently stops functioning.

PROOF OF DEATH OF A LEGAL SUBJECT (2)
- Direct evidence ( Evidence of anybody that he/she saw the body of a certain person and ascertained that the person is dead)
- Death certificate (issued by doctor or a magistrate)
CONSEQUENCES OF DEATH
- Deceased’s marriage is dissolved
- Policies on the deceased are paid out.
- Deceased no longer hold offices.
- Deceased no longer taxable.
- Criminal actions against deceased lapse.
CURATOR BONIS
Appointed by court to manage a persons proprietary interests.
CURATOR PERSONAE
Appointed by the court to take care of the personal needs of the person in question
CURATOR AD LITEM
Curator for the court case
FACTORS CONSIDERED BY THE COURT FOR PRESUMPTION OF DEATH (4)
- Circumstances under which the person disappeared.
- Period of time that the person has been missing
- Age of the missing person
- Health of the missing person.

Donation of organs from the deceased’s body
