A virtual image is an image formed by the apparent intersection of Rays
1
Q
Explain; Centre of Curvature Axis Focus Focal length
A
- The centre of the sphere from which the mirror is made is called the centre of curvature of the mirror.
- The straight line joining the pole to the centre of curvature is called axis.
- The point halfway between the centre of curvature and the pole is called the focus.
- The distance from the focus to the pole is called the focal length.
2
Q
Define:
Magnification
A
The ratio of the height of the image to the height of the object is called the magnification e.g m=v/u
