What is a verb?
Verbs indicate actions or states of being. EX:to be, to have, to seem, to go, to study, to believe.

Nouns indicate people, places, objects, and ideas, and can always be preceded by a(n) of the. Ex:bicycle, supervisor, Amelia Earhart, Chicago, notion, development, latitude.

Prepositions are time and location words. They indicate where thing and people are, where they’re going, and when events happpened. They are always followed by nouns. Ex: The birds were observed IN the field BY a group OF researchers FOR several days.

Conjunctions indicate relationships between words, places, and clauses. EX: and, but, however, therefore, so, although, yet, when, because, since

Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, other adverbs, amd phrases/clauses. EX: however, therefore, thus, hence, moreover, indeed, furthermore, subsequently.
