Chapter 3 - Motion in 2D & 3D Flashcards
1
Q
How are vectors different to scalars?
A
Vectors have magnitude and a direction, scalar on magnitude.
2
Q
How can we use unit vectors in 2D and 3D?
A
Use them to represent i,j,k so that we can have forces in all dimensions.
3
Q
What is a frame of reference?
A
It is where someone observes something occurring.
An inertial frame of reference means that they’re not accelerating.
4
Q
Are flight path and trajectories the same thing?
A
Yes.
5
Q
When does non-uniform circular motion occur?
A
When the speed changes, then it stops being uniform circular motion.
