The duties of the officer are to provide evidence, based on findings at autopsy and present them with medicolegal significance.

Who can attend an inquest hearing ?

A. Inquests are held in open court and can be attended by the general public,family members, witnesses (expert and non expert) including the person who reported the matter to the police.
