Equivocal- two or more equally correct meanings
Vague- “ambiguous” terms have shades of meaning; they lack clear-cut definitions
Technical- jargon or specialized
New- do not exist in common vocab
Coined- invented when a convenient term does not already exist
Definition by: Synonym Authority Example Function Operation
Synonym- a more familiar word similar to term
Authority- “field-specific” sources
Example-provide a relevant one
Function- defined by the function of an object, instrument, agency, or concept performs
Operation- clarify term by explaining it as the result of a series of steps
