It refers to a system of principles of conduct that guide the behavior of a person. It is concerned with individual character like
being a good person. It is also concerned with a character of an entire society, culture or profession
Ethics
Also values, it is related to a system of beliefs, religious system, business or political system. These values get their authority from outside or higher authority. Moral values include honesty, integrity, compassion, courage, honor, responsibility, patriotism, respect and fairness
Morals
Stages of Morality - It is characterized by doing the act or the behavior to gain rewards or avoid punishment
Morality of self-interest
Stages of Morality - It is exhibited by people who assume personal responsibility in their behavior. People who have reached this level no longer aim for approval or disapproval of their action. Their behavior is guided by their ethical principles and moral values.
Morality of abstract principles
Stages of Morality - It applies when the action or behavior of the individual is determined by the rule and authority, meaning people’s action are motivated by obedience and respect for law

The Philippine Constitution provides that all educational
institutional shall offer quality education for all competent
teachers. Committed to its full realization, the provision of this Code shall apply, therefore, to all teachers in schools in the Philippines

Educators should be committed to lifelong learning, self-improvement, and advancing the profession. They must ensure fair treatment of students and avoid unethical behavior.
Article V – The Teacher and the Teaching Community
Teachers should maintain professional growth, uphold ethical standards, and support colleagues. They must avoid unethical practices such as discrimination or exploiting students for personal gain.
Article IV – The Teacher and the Profession
Teachers must respect and cooperate with school officials, adhering to institutional policies while maintaining their integrity and professional autonomy.
Article VI – The Teacher and Higher Authorities in the Philippines
Teachers should maintain good relationships with colleagues, avoid gossip or false accusations, and work collaboratively to improve the profession.
Article VII: School Officials, Teachers, and Other Personnel
Teachers must be impartial, fair, and compassionate, ensuring the welfare of students. They should avoid favoritism and protect students from harm, abuse, or exploitation.
Article VIII – The Teacher and Learners
Educators must establish strong partnerships with parents, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and fostering cooperation for the student’s development.
Article IX – The Teacher and Parents
Teachers should not engage in business transactions that exploit students or interfere with their professional responsibilities.
Article X – The Teacher and Business
Teachers should uphold moral and ethical standards, serve as role models, and maintain a respectable personal and professional image.
Article XI – The Teacher as a Person
Any violation of the Code of Ethics is subject to disciplinary action, ensuring accountability and ethical behavior in the profession.
Article XII – Disciplinary Actions
This article states that the Code of Ethics becomes effective immediately after approval and publication, ensuring all teachers are bound by its guidelines.
