What is an Indicator Word?

A

A term that often appears in arguments that signals or hints that either the premise or conclusion is coming. “Because” signals a premise, “therefore” signals a conclusion, etc.

A

A

An argument that is supposed to offer only probable support for the arguments conclusion.

What is valid and invalid?

A

In a valid argument, if the premises are true then the conclusion must be true. In an invalid argument, even if the premise(s) are true, the conclusion isn’t always true.
