Validity
Reliability, based on critical assessment of source, facts, and bias
colonialism
The process of establishing colonies, in which a region is claimed and governed by a country from another part of the world.
Fair and Equitable
governed by rules that apply to everyone, taking into account individual needs and circumstances.

applying laws.

the institutions and procedures for applying laws in a society

Criminal Code
A criminal code (or penal code) is a document which compiles all, or a significant amount of, a particular jurisdiction’s criminal law.
Defense
the action of defending from or resisting attack.
Sequester
to isolate or hideaway.
Criminal record
a permanent record of breaking the law, which is public information. A criminal record can bar you from some jobs, volunteer positions and travel to other countries.
Jury
a body of people (typically twelve in number) sworn to give a verdict in a legal case on the basis of evidence submitted to them in court.
Sentence
a term of imprisonment imposed by a court
Rehabilitate
restore (someone) to health or normal life by training and therapy after imprisonment, addiction, or illness.
