Alienation
In a capitalist system, being unconnected to one’s work, products, fellow workers and human nature

The feeling of not knowing what is expected of one in society of of being adrift in society without any clear, secure moorings

In Marx’s view, an economic system based on one group of people (capitalists) owning what is needed for production and a second group (proletariat) owning little but their capacity for work
