It is the process by which one generation passes culture to the next.
What is values?
It is culturally defined standards that people use to decide what is desirable, good, and beautiful and that serve as broad guidelines.
What are beliefs?
Beliefs are specific ideas that people hold to be true.
What are the ten values by Robin Williams that are central to our way of life?
Equal opportunity, individual achievement and personal success, material comfort, activity and fun, practicality and efficiency, progress, science, democracy and free enterprize, freedom, racism and group superiority.
What are mores?
Norms that are widely observed an have great moral significance.
What are folkways?
Normal for routine or casual interactions.
What is hunting and gathering?
The use of simple tools to hunt animals and gather vegetation for food. (Men are hunters and women are gatherers)
What is technology?
It is the knowledge that people use to make a way of life in their surroundings.
