27
when is the media aloud to punish a youths name
if they have received an adult sentence
28
before the YCJA what happened
every young person who broke the law wee charged and went to court this often meant; they didn’t face consequences right away bc the courts were busy the consequences didn’t always connect to the people and the communities affected
29
when a young offender has committed a crime donu think their identity should be revealed to the public is it more important to protect the young offender or be concerned abt the public’s satey (10 points )
i think that it depends on the circumstance of the crime the was committed it also depends on if they are being tired as an adult if there is a victim involved they might be revealing the victims info if the offender has committed multiple crimes in the past (history of the offender ) the seriousness of the offence the attitude of the offender it think that they should protect both the offender and the public - keep the public safe - do what’s best for the offender depends on the seriousness of the offence -if it was serious then they should be concerned for the public rather than the offender depends on the reason of why the offender committed the crime
