What is “The Canon of Scripture”?
The officially accepted list of books that are regarded as of divine authority.
Why was the end of the Jewish sacrificial system in 70 AD significant in determining the need for an Old Testament canon?
The Jews were scattered and there was a need to determine which books were the authoritative Word of God amongst extra scriptural writings and decentralisation.

What event in 140 AD resulted in the determination of the real canon of the New Testament?
A Heretic, Marcion, developed his own canon and began to propagate it. The church needed to offset his influence by determining what was the real canon of the New Testament.

Many eastern churches.
What was the Edict of Diocletian 303 AD?
It declared the destruction of the sacred books of the Christians.
