TUG?
Take, Use, Give - information
When should you signal?
When it could benefit someone. Consider signaling when changing position
When must brake/gear overlap be used?
Planned approach (Ipsga)
Example of brake gear overlap
Use the brakes to get the correct speed for the turn. Keeping foot on the brake (to maintain the correct speed not to slow down further), depress the clutch to select the correct gear. Release brake and clutch and steer into the turn at required speed and in the correct gear.
Incorrect use of brake/gear overlap
Not planned, late, excessive braking and rushed gear changes
Braking late and rushing gear change can destabilise vehicle where stability is needed most.
