Envy
The feeling of sadness when someone else has things we want for ourselves
Greed
An excessive desire to have or own things.
When we depend on God to care for all our needs
We are poor in spirit
The Tenth Commandment teaches us to examine our thoughts and feelings about
the goods of this world.
Jesus fulfilled God’s law by living it
with complete love for God and others.
When we live by the Tenth Commandment,
we place our trust in God.
In Jesus’ life,
we see the perfect way to live God’s Law.
When people are greedy,
they are not living the way that Jesus taught us to live.
What are two ways Jesus showed love for his heavenly Father and for others?
Jesus cared for the poor, comforted the sick, accepted all people and helped everyone to feel God’s love. Jesus called all people to be more giving, to look beyond their own needs, and respond to the needs of others.
