Ovarian tumor of low malignant potential which rarely metastasizes.
Borderline Tumor
Cancer marker that is elevated in approximately 80% of ovarian carcinomas but is also elevated in endometriosis, PID, Liver disease, etc. Levels over 35 are considered worrisome.
CA-125
Chocolate Cyst
A blood filled mass associated with endometriosis
Physiologic cyst developing in the second half of the menstrual cycle and in early pregnancy that regresses spontaneously.
Corpus Luteam Cyst

After hysterectomy, the blind end of the vagina is sutured and forms a fibrous mass.
Form of teratoma is benign and tends to occur in younger women; also known as benign cystic teratoma.
Dermoid
Hematoma (chocolate cyst) caused by bleeding from abnormally implanted endometrial tissue.
Endometrioma
Deposits of endometrial tissue on the ovaries, exterior of the uterus, and intestines, among other places; they bleed at monthly intervals, causing hematomas and fibrosis.
Endometriosis
Developing ovum within the ovary forming a physiological cyst.
Follicle
Blocked fallopian tube that fills with sterile fluid as a consequence of adhesions, usually related to a previous infection.
Hydrosalpinx
Metastatic tumor located in the ovary; usually derived from an intestinal neoplasm.
Krukenberg Tumor
Familial triad of ovarian, breast, and colon cancer. An indication for ovarian cancer screening.
Lynch Triad
Multiparous
A woman who has been pregnant more than once.
Nulliparous
A woman who has not been pregnant
Parous
A woman who has been pregnant
