A pregnancy that occurs outside of the fallopian tube or the uterus and therefore may expand without causing bleeding.
Abdominal Pregnancy
Abscess

The region of the ovaries, fallopian tubes and broad ligaments.
Adnexa
Extraovarian adnexal mass with thick echogenic border; this finding is suspicious for ectopic pregnancy.
Adnexal Ring
Amenorrhea

Anteverted
The body of the uterus is tilted foward.
Portion of hCG measured to determine pregnancy status.
Beta Subunit
Ectopic pregnancy located in the cervix. It is a dangerous site because there is heavy bleeding when pregnancy is lost.
Cervical Pregnancy
Ectopic pregnancy located at the origin of the fallopian tubes from the endometrial cavity.
Cornual Pregnancy
Small cyst or complex mass that develops within the ovary in the second half of the menstrual cycle and secretes progesterone.
Corpus Luteam
Bowel inflammation that can affect any level of the bowel from the stomach to the anus. Fistula is a common complication.
Crohns Disease
Cul-de-sac
Area posterior to the uterus ans anterior to the rectum where fluid often collects.
Ectopic Pregnancy
Pregnancy that is located in a site other than within the fundus of the uterine cavity
Endometrial Cavity (canal)
A potential space in the center of the uterus where blood or pus may collect
Endometritis
Infection of the endometrial cavity
