Athletes need to consider appropriate nutrition and hydration plans for before, during and after the training/event

pre training/event: ain to keep the athlete from feeling hungry before and durin exercise and optimise levels of energy stores for the activity

during: aim to maintain energy stores and fluids

post: optimise recovery following event
