Chapter 15: Social, Behavioral, & Psychosocial Epidemiology Flashcards
Social epidemiology?
concerned w/ the influence of a person’s position in the social structure on the development of a disease. the branch of epidemiology that studies the social distribution and social determinants of states of health.
Behavioral epidemiology?
studies the role of behavioral factors in health

- Exercise is the MV bc it’s what intervenes
- Disease is the DV bc it’s the outcome
Multiple causation?
when a disease has more than 1 cause
