Hydrostatic test
A
Intake and discharges other than tank to pump and tank to fill must be subjected to 500psi for min 10min. Uses water under pressure to check integrity

A
Done on app 750gpm, 3000L up to 3000gpm 12000L

Acceptance testing
A
Conducted at jurisdiction to which its been sold with. If pump fails, should be rejected by buyer

Performance testing
A
At least annually, or she it’s had a repair

Water temp when pump testing
A
2c and 32c

Flowmeters
A
More efficient than pitot when determining flow from nozzles

A
If it fails to reach 22 in of mercury remove from service

Pumps of 5000L or less, 30 sec, 6000 or more, 45sec
