Short term, highly liquid investments that are readily convertible into known amounts of cash and are subject to an insignificant risk of changes in value
What is included in cash flows from operating activities?
Entity’s principal revenue earning activities and other activities that don’t fall under the other two headings
What happens when a subsidiary pays a dividend?
Only share paid to NCI reflected in consolidated financial statements
What is cash flows from financing activities?
Activities that change size and composition of entity’s equity and borrowing
Where should dividends paid to NCI be disclosed?
Separately from the dividends paid to parent shareholders
Where should cash payments to acquire subsidiary be reported?
Separately in the statement of cash flows under investing activities
