Accommodation
Adaptation of the eye for near vision. Observable part is convergence (motion toward) the axes of the eyeball and pupillary constriction.
Age related macular degeneration AMD
Loss of central vision of unknown cause, possibly oxidative stress and inflammation. Yellow deposits/neovascularity in the macula. 1 in 10 Americans suffer from it.
Cataract
Age-related change, normally transparent fibers of the lens begin to thicken and yellow.
Conjunctivitis
Redness of the eye.
Diplopia
Perception of two images of a single object. Diplopia in one eye is caused by dry eyes, uncorrected refractive error or cataracts.
Exopthalmos
Protruding eyes
Glaucoma
Optic nerve compression caused by intraocular pressure
Mydriasis
Dilated and fixed pupils
Nystagmus
Uncontrollable movement of the eye
Palpebral Fissure
Elliptical open space between the eyelids
Papilledema
Swelling of the optic disc caused by intracranial pressure
