Define patent
Permission granted by a government to a person for a set period of time to stop others from making use of their inventions without their permissions.
What does the GDPR do
Protect personal data that is held online.
What does the Computer Misuse Act do.
Unauthorized access to computers to commit theft, destruction/changing of data
What is a license
Provides users with the right to copies of the software.
Do not give ownership, so the user cannot edit source code.
Can allow or disallow the use of the software commercially or to share.
What is an open source license
Allows users to use, modify and share code.
