Define what is a business plan ?
- a written document which gives a comprehensive overview of a proposed bussiness
What is the purpose of a business plan ?
- Offers direction of a proposed business
- Gives a comprehensive overview of a proposed business plan

What is an action plan ?
- a record of activities, showing how activities will be organized to achieve the goals, set out in the business plan.
- Planning and monitoring tool used specifies what tasks must be done by whom, when and with what resources in order to reach specific goals
Describe the importance of an action plan ?
- Enables projects to be achieved within the specified time
- It proprieties activities according to importance
- Turns plans into action
- Identifies problems that could occur.
Describe what are the steps to follow when drawing up an action plan ?
- The summary of the vision, mission, long-term goals must be defined
- Define the steps you would take to get there
- Start with what must be first done
- Arrange steps in logical order
- Review progress regularly
What is project planning ?
- Is a detailed description of all activities that need to be completed to execute a project successfully
- tool that can be used to turn an idea into an action plan.

- Define the scope of the plan to be done
- Identify project supporters
- Break the project done into activities

Project planning tools :
Explain what is a Timeline/schedules?
- Timeline is a representation of all the tasks that must be completed and, when these tasks can be completed
- Timelines help team members to know what milestones need to be achieved by when.
What is the importance of timelines ?
- They help the planners to project dates in advance
- Keeps information in the order that it has to be in.
- Assists in determining the order in which activities task must be completed.

What is work breakdown structure (WBS) ?
-is used to schedule the timeline for the projects in order to decide what task need to happen, when and what in what order.
What are the steps for constructing a Work breakdown structure ?
- Identify one key activity
- Sub-divide the task into secondary tasks
- Breakdown each secondary task into more details.
- Check four logic, sequence and details
What is a Garnett chart?
- Is a bar chart that illustrates a project schedule
- Elements consist of the WBS of the project
- Easy way to view project as it shows a series of dates across the top of the page with soils card below the dates.
How do you construct a Garnett chart ?
- Write down all activities that must be carried out to complete a project
- Decide how much time you will need for each activity
- Draw up a table with a row for each activity and columns in days/weeks
- Write down each activity in order down the rows in left-hand column.
Describe the importance of a Garnett chart ?
- Easy to prepare and understand
- Events are shown in chronological order
- Time needed for an activity is shown visually
- Team members can see who is responsible for each activity
