  3. Waves of contraction uterus->cervix
    =each contraction opens cervix a little

Explain The Second Stage of Labour.

A

It is the Stage of Repulsion (Delivery)

  1. Membrane surrounding foetus burst, fluids gush out
  2. Foetus’ head stretches the vagina
  3. Dissension occurs (farts) + vaginal contraction
  4. The foetus’ head turns to face mum’s back
  5. Hard work
  6. Once the head has emerged, it turns sideways again to force the rest of its body out.

A

Lung bypass, which allows blood in the pulmonary artery to flow directly into the aorta.

What’s a Foramen Ovale?

A

An oval opening located between both chambers. It allows most of the blood entering the right atrium to go through it.

A

The increases blood pressure forces the flap if the Foramen Ovale against the wall it the atrium, closing off the opening.
