Social movements that seek limited societal change for a specific group or narrow segment of society. Example: Alternative educational movements: homeschooling. Alternative political movements: The marijuana party
Describe the Redemptive social movements. (Include example)
Social movements that seek large-scale change for a specific group. Example: Alcoholics anonymous: helps people with drinking problems find sobriety. Animal Liberation front: seeks to accord animals the same treatment as humans.
Describe the Reformative social movements. (Include example)
Social movements that seek limited societal change for everyone in society. Example: Civil rights movement, women rights movement, LGBT movement.
Describe the Revolutionary social movements. (Include example)
Social movements that seek large-scale change that affects everyone in society. Example: Islamic fundamentalists like Al-Queda and ISIS.
