- Industrial-describing job requirements and assessing individual abilities to meet requirements
- Organizational-how relationships among employees affect employees and performance of business
- Human factor- study of how workers interact with tools of work and how to design tools to optimize health, productivity and work

Immutable Characteristics

Disability
a physical or mental condition that limits a person’s movements, senses, or activities
Bona fide occupational qualifications (BFQQ’s)
requirements of certain occupation for which denying an individual employment would otherwise violate law
3 test used to determine whether sex-related BFQQ’s
- would most women be able to perform job job
- would hiring other gender undermine business
- is employer unable to make other accommodations
Job Satisfaction
degree which individuals enjoy job
Job Stress
caused by stressor in occupation and affects job satisfaction
