Q

In the past the Sacrament of AOTS was called Extreme Unction meaning “last anointing”. How are these two names different and why make the name change?

A

They are different because you can get Anointing of the sick as much as you need. On the other hand, Extreme Unction meant last anointing which means it’s your last Anointing but that’s not always true.

Q

What does it mean to forgive completely, freely, and lovingly?

A

It means to genuinely mean that you are sorry (completely). It also means that you have the choice to forgive (freely). Lastly, it means that you will forgive them and not be mad at them for it anymore (lovingly).
