Vestibulocochlear/Acoustic- hearing acuity
use whisper, rinne, weber test
What is cranial nerve 9? What does it test for?
Glossopharyngeal- gag reflex
abnormalities- same as CN X= Vagus
This cranial nerve & name involves touch, assessing the temporal artery and asking the patient to clench teeth
CN - Trigeminal
This cranial nerve & name involves the eye muscle movement for DOWN and OUT
abnormalities indicate failure to do so
CN 4 (IV)- Trochlear
This cranial nerve & name involves eye muscle movement for shine light in the eye, inspection but abnormalities indicate dilated pupils; failure to move eye UP, IN, DOWN
CN III- Oculomotor
This cranial nerve & name involves the eye muscle movement to move to the right and left sides
CN 6 (VI)- Abducens
