What is the feedback loop?
Hypothalamus signals the pituitary gland, which releases hormones that control physical growth and the gonads; increasing the production of sex hormones; sex hormones stimulate the hypothalamus, perpetrating the feedback loop
What are female primary sex characteristics?
Ovaries, vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes
What are male primary sex characteristics?
Penis, testes, prostate gland, seminal vesicles
When do adolescents tend to have growth spurts?
Girls at age 10, boys at age 12

Based on universal ethical principles of human life; people must follow universal ethical principles and their own conscious even if it means breaking the law (only 5% of adolescents get to stage 6)

What is hypothetical thinking?
When adolescents project themselves into situations that transcend their immediate experience and become wrapped up in fantasies

When adolescents place themselves on centre stage and assume everyone is concerned with their appearance or behaviour
What is the personal fable?
Believing one’s thoughts and emotions are unique and special, also refers to adolescent’s belief that they are invulnerable and invincible
