international law
body of rules that binds states & other agents in world politics that are considered to have the status of law
international humanitarian law
body of rules that seeks to limit the effects of armed conflict, protect non-combatives, & restrict means + methods of warfare for humanitarian reaons
customary international law
international law that usually develops slowly over time as states come to recognize practices as appropriate and correct
obligation

-high obligation rules must be performed in good faith and if breached, require reparations to injured party
