Actions are determined by the bodies urge to satisfy a need
Incentive
Involves a positive or negative stimulus that motivates behavior
Arousal Theory
You do things to increase or decrease arousal levels
High arousal
doing the behavior will lower this
Low Arousal
motivates activities that can increase arousal. When we want to start doing something that will increase general arousal
