What is a boilerplate?
A
Also known as the general conditions, the boiler plate augments the construction contract and outline the rules under which the project will be built

What are some benefits of using standard conditions
A
-they are familiar to all parties
-the wording is clearly understood
they have often been court-tested so that the legal interpretation is known

What are some of the topics addressed in supplementary conditions?
A
Anything that is specific to the job being constructed, ie:
- specific information about material substitutions
- which materials the owner will provide
- the type of surveying information to be provided by the owner
- examination of the site
- cost reporting requirements
