The core is the inner part of the earth. It is made from iron and nickel. It’s temperature reaches over 5000 degrees

The earth is broken into many different sections. Each section is called a plate. There are seven main plates and several minor ones.

Convection currents

Convection currents occur when magma moves upwards towards the crust. Here it cools and sinks back down to the core, and the cycle starts again.
