Hypothesis
An hypothesis that life could arise from non living matter.
Spontaneous generation
Factors in an experiment that can change.
ex: materials, temperature, light, time
Variables
A test of the effect of a single variable by changing it while keeping all other variables the same.
Controlled experiment
The variable that is deliberately changed.
Manipulated variable
The variable that is observed and that changes in response to the manipulated variable.
Responding variable
Well tested explanation that unifies a broad range of observations.
