Roles and Responsibilities of a Community Health Nurse
Planner/programmer, Provider of Nursing care, manager/supervisor, community organizer, coordinator, trainer/health educator/counselor, health worker, role model, change agent, recorder/reporter/statistician, researcher
- Identifies needs, priorities and problems of individuals, families and community
- Formulates nursing component of health plans, In doctorless area, she/he is responsible for the formation of the municipal health plan
- Interprets and implements the nursing plan, program policies, memoranda and circulars for the concerned staff/personnel
- Provides technical assistance to rural health midwives in health matters like target setting, etc.
