Assisted living resident ALR

Chronic illness
And ongoing illness, slow or gradual and onset; it has no cure; it can be controlled and complications prevented with proper treatment, diabetes is an example
Health team
The many staff/healthcare workers who skills and knowledge focus on the person’s total care; interdisciplinary health team. Team leader. RN leads the team
Hospice
A healthcare agency or program for persons who are dying
Licensed practical nurse LPN
A nurse who has completed 1-year nursing program and has passed a licensing test; called licensed vocational nurse in some states LVN. Works under the RN
LVN
Same as LPN licensed vocational nurse One year nursing program and has passed A licensing test. Works under the RN
Nursing assistant
A person who has passed a nursing assistant training and competency evaluation program; preforms delegated nursing tasks under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Work under a licensed nurse
Nursing team
Those who provide nursing care–RN/LPN/LVN’s, and nursing assistance. All focus on the physical social emotional and spiritual needs of person and family.
Registered nurse RN
A nurse who has completed a 2-, 3-, or 4- year nursing program and has passed a licensing test
Terminal illness
And illness or injury from which the person will not likely recover. Late stage cancer severe devastating
Chronic illness
And ongoing illness that is slow or gradual and onset. There is no cure. The illness can be controlled and complications prevented with proper treatment. Diabetes is an example.

Nursing supervisors/nurse managers
Oversee a work shift, a nursing area, or a certain function. This includes staff development, restorative nursing, infection control, and continuous quality care.responsible for all nursing care and the actions of all nurse staff in their area.
Nursing area
Nursing areas have charge nurses for each shift, usually RNs. Responsible for all nursing care and for actions of nursing staff during that shift. Staff are in his report to the charge nurse LPNs report to staff RNs or to the charge nurse CNEs report to the nurse supervising your work
Functional nursing
Focuses on tasks and jobs. Each team member has certain tasks for jobs to do. One gets all drugs another all treatments nursing assistance give baths make beds and serve meals
Team nursing
Involves a team of nurses led by an RN we are in delegates the care of certain purses two other nurses and nursing assistance. Delegation is based on the person’s needs and team members and abilities.
Primary nursing
Involves total care. And are in is responsible for a persons total care. PRN teaches and councils the person and family. We are in Gibbs nursing care and makes discharge plans
Care management
Like primary nursing, and are in coordinates a persons care from admissions or discharges and into the home or long term care setting. They communicate with the doctor and health team. Also insurance companies if needed.heart disease diabetes and cancer
Patient focused care
When services are moved from departments to the bedside. The nursing team performs basic skills usually done by other health team members. To reduce costs the number of people caring for each person is reduced
