17
Q

What are the common relationships?

A

Direct: Both variables increase / Inverse or Indirect: One increases, and the other decreases / One increases and the other remains the same

18
Q

What is Density?

A

The amount of matter in a substance for a given volume, or how close the atoms are together.

19
Q

Density =

A

Mass/Volume

20
Q

What are the density units?

A

g/mL and g/cm^3

21
Q

How do you find volume?

A

L x W x H or Water Displacement

22
Q

Density of water is?

A

1 g/mL

23
Q

Does the density of a substance change?

A

NO, no matter how small, heavy, or light it is.

24
Q

Density and Temperature

A

The more something is heated, the faster its atoms bump into each other. This pushes them farther apart and the substance expands. As the temperature increases density decreases.
