Middle Manager Responsibilities
- Setting objective goals in line with top managers. They figure out the “HOW”
- Allocate resources
- Monitor and manage performance
First Line Managers
Office manager, shift supervisor, department manager
First Line Manager Responsibilities?
- Encourage and reward performance of others
- Teaching/training
- Scheduling
- Facilitation
Team Leaders Responsibilites
- Facilitate team activities towards a goal
- External/Internal Relationships
What are the three Mintzberg managerial roles?
Interpersonal, Informational, Decisional
Interpersonal Roles
Figurehead (greeter to outside world), Leader Role ( motivaters/encouragers), Liason (speaking to other departments)
