EG. Banks, Schools, Supermarkets
Manager
Someone who coordinates and oversees the work of other people so that organisational goals can be accomplished.
Planning
Management function that involves setting goals, establishing strategies for achieving those goals, and developing plans to integrate and coordinate activities.
Organising
Management function that involves that involves arranging and structuring work that employees do to accomplish the organisations goals.
Leading
Management function that involves working with and through people to accomplish organisational goals.
Controlling
Management function that involves monitoring, comparing and correcting work performance, as well as evaluating and reviewing post task completion.
(Managerial Role) Interpersonal
Involve people and other duties that are ceremonial and symbolic in nature.
EG. Figurehead, Leaded and Liaison
(Managerial Role) Informational
Involve receiving, collecting and disseminating information.
EG. Monitoring, Disseminator, Spokesperson
(Managerial Role) Decisional
Revolve around making decisions.
EG. Entrepreneur, Disturbance Handler, Resource Allocator, Negotiator
