What was francisus donders experiment?
studied how long it takes a person to make a desision
how did Donders measure desision making time?
He measured a reaction time by asking people to push a button as rapidly ad possible when they saw a light go on.
He measures choice reaction time by using two lights and asking his participants to push the left button when they saw the left. light go on. and the right button when they saw the right light go on
how did he quantify his findings?
he said that the time it took to make a descision was the difference in reaction times between reaction time, and choice reaction time.
what did Donders find?
that it took 1/10th of a second to make a desicion.
Who opened the first psychology lab?
Wilhelm Wundt
What approach to psychology did wundt take?
Structuralism
